Virtual Lessons

Interested in having Laura Daley help you overcome your horseback riding fear?

If so, the following Virtual Lessons are available.

Rather than focusing solely on riding skills or training techniques, Laura's Virtual Lessons will help you address the real problem: fear. You may chose to submit journal entries (or emotional inventories) of your rides, videos of your interactions with your horse, or both. Laura will review each submission carefully and provide feedback that will help you see the reality of your situation, recognize tension in both yourself and your horse, and
learn how to take the next steps to Riding Fear Free.

Journal Review: $35

Rider will submit a journal entry (1,000 words maximum*) describing one ride or horse session via email. Laura Daley will read, review, and make notes on the recorded observations of the ride. The focus of a journal review will be to help the rider see the reality of their situation, find the positive steps during the lesson, and offer tips for improving or changing for their next ride or encounter with their horse.
Once you have paid, you can submit your journal entry to laura@ridingfearfree.com.

Video Lessons: $65

Rider will submit a video (maximum 1 hour**) of their interactions with their horse either on the ground or while riding. Laura will review the video and will send written feedback that will focus on helping the rider or handler identify tension in themselves or their horse. She will suggest better techniques for communication between horse and rider and help the rider see the positives in their abilities and their horse. Requirements for video lessons include a digital camera capable of taking video footage and an account at a video hosting site such as YouTube. (You may make the video private so that only you and Laura can view it.) IF you have no access to YouTube you may mail a copy of your ride via a flash drive, just know it will take a little longer to review.  Contact Laura once you have ordered this lesson to notify her where to view your video or that it is coming in the mail.

Video and Journal Lesson Review: $90

Rider will submit a video (maximum 1 hour**) and a journal entry (maximum 1,000 words via email*) explaining what the rider is thinking, feeling, and doing with the horse. Laura Daley will review the video and journal entry and will send written feedback on both. She will focus on helping the rider see what is actually happening in the lesson, find the positive steps to the lesson, and see the reality of the situation. Laura will observe and comment on the interaction between horse and rider and suggest techniques for improvement. Requirements for video lessons include a digital camera capable of taking video footage and an account at a video hosting site such as YouTube. (You may make the video private so that only you and Laura can view it.)
IF you have no access to YouTube you may mail a copy of your ride via a flash drive, just know it will take a little longer to review.  Contact Laura at laura@ridingfearfree.com when you are ready to coordinate this lesson.
